I must....
There is something I must,
There is something I may,
There is something you need to be told.
I can't for the life of me think what it is,
You see it eludes me right now.
A clue would be nice to put me on track,
I'm sure that I'll find it somehow.
Well, that is my wish,
It's important, you see,
It's something that needs to be said.
My memory's so old, my hair's gone quite grey
the years, they haven't been kind.
I wish I could remember the words I need,
Some say that I'm losin my mind.
There is something I want,
There is something I need,
There is words that must be told.
A message would solve my problem right now,
On a scrap of old paper I'd write
"You dithering old fool, don't forget these words
and mind for your failing eyesight"
So much I have lost,
So much do I know,
Things that I see late at night.
Please wait while I think of things to be said,
Please wait for my mind to come round.
I'm sure it will happen any time soon,
I know my advice will be sound.
When will I know,
When will it come,
It sits on the tip of my tongue.
Here it is at last my friend,
Here is the warning at hand.
From one who has seen so many late nights,
Beware the hourglass sand!
There is something I may,
There is something you need to be told.
I can't for the life of me think what it is,
You see it eludes me right now.
A clue would be nice to put me on track,
